NOTE: the tables for the Agenda may be wider than your browser window. In this case, at the very end of the Agenda table for each day, there should be a horizontal scroll bar which will allow you to scroll across to the rest of the table. This horizontal scroll bar will be visible only when you are viewing the very end of each day’s Agenda.

Note: times are given in AEDT. Adelaide is 0.5 hours behind; Perth is 3 hours behind.

Keynote Presentation:

To see 85% of the World in a Grain of Sand: Search for wave-like dark matter in the ADMX Run 1C dataset

Dr Chelsea Bartram

Chelsea is an experimentalist at heart, with a goal of finding dark matter and revealing physics beyond the Standard Model. Her research interests lie at the intersection of particle physics, fundamental symmetries, dark matter, and quantum electronics. She is a leader in the Axion Dark Matter eXperiment (ADMX) located at CENPA, a nuclear physics lab at the University of Washington. Her research pulls from disparate fields such as microwave technology, low temperature physics and high magnetic fields. It even has overlap with the world of amateur radio–a hobby which prompted an interest in science many years ago. She has had the privilege of working in numerous research groups, touching on fundamental symmetries and neutrino physics. As a graduate student, she built a tabletop experiment to search for CPT-violation in positronium at UNC Chapel Hill. Chelsea finds nothing so empowering as building an experiment that tells you something about the real world and she strives to teach others to do the same.
